Audio somehow not working

Go to solution Solved by Imbellis,

You could try to go to "manage audio devices" and click "test" (by right-clicking on a device on the playback tab)on every speaker. If that doesn't work - no clue. However; if it does, try setting the one you want to "default"(same right clicking) or disabling all of the others.

I've had similar audio problems and this has sometimes fixed it.

As for your motherboard - Your motherboard should be fine. If you're running a ryzen chip - they don't support something along the lines of a video out - so you have to go through a expansion card / gpu.

I have a ab350 gaming 3 mobo and it needed to be sent in for rma. Before i sent it, audio had no problems whatsoever.
After, i received it back, i can't detect any of my  new audio devices that i plug in. the only thing it finds is my monitors speakers, which also doesn't produce any sound.
In my playback devices, it has my monitor and 4 other devices all saying "Digital Display Audio, AMD High Definition Audio Device, Not plugged in".
I have updated BIOS and have downloaded latest realtek sound, all to no avail.

On another note, how come my mobo doesn't detect HDMI and DVI inputs?
