connection not showing

i am trying to hook up my PS4 to the 5Ghz band on the netgear nighthawk ac1900, but the 5Ghz wifi isn't showing up, it is a dual band router, with both a 2.4Ghz connection and a 5Ghz, the 5ghz isn't even showing up on both my phone and my PS4, how do i get it to come up?

First make sure the 5Ghz band is enabled in you netgear nighthawk.

Also, where is the router and where is your ps4?

it is enabled i have checked 10 times over, and my PS4 is in my living room and the router is in my kitchen, maybe about 5-6 feet apart from eachother

what are your wireless settings for 5 ghz? (if you're taking a screenshot crossout your SSID)

I believe they fixed a bunch of 5G issues throughtout the firmware updates

still not showing up, and i did want to mention in case it came up later, it is the PS4 slim that i have not the regular version which was only capable of 2.4 Ghz where the slim is bumped up to 5 Ghz

where on the router login page does it show 20/40? has it for the 2.4 Ghz but not for the 5, won't let me set it like that it is a little check box either allowing 20/40 or it doesn't

i believe changing the Mode: to 289mbps makes it 20

so change the mode to 289mbps and connect to the 5Ghz wifi or see if it pops up?
