The ASUS one is better in terms of compatible RAM kits, but it isn't exactly a full-featured board. I personally picked a MSI B350 Gaming Plus mobo for a Ryzen 5 1600 build which I built yesterday for a friend, I'm yet to test whether A-XMP 2933MHz works for the Corsair Vengeance LED White 3000MHz kit I chose when I update the BIOS to the AGESA 1.0.0.6 one, I can update you with that if you want as the board besides that seems very decent, well-made and looks awesome. It's around the same price point as well. I'll be doing the BIOS update later today when I get off work :)

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT 16GB GDDR6 Motherboard: MSI PRESTIGE X570 CREATION
AIO: Corsair H150i Pro RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 32GB 3600MHz DDR4 Case: Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic PSU: Corsair RM850x White

Gigabyte does seem to have really hot VRMs on their B350 motherboards, so if you want to overclock a lot then you should probably go for the Asus.

What do you mean by VRMs?  I just plan on overclocking it to the recommended maximum I think 3.8 if it can easily handle being at that point.

VRM = voltage regulating module. it is a component on the motherboard, and something that is very important for overclocking. if it gets very hot then that is bad for the lifespan of the PC. some of the gigabyte boards seem to have very hot VRMs, some people have recommended that you shouldn't put a CPU with a TDP of more than 95W in it, which would mean that you couldn't overclock the 1600x at all and that would be a waste of money.

That means if I plan on overclocking to the max I should switch to the asus? What if I get the 1600 instead and overclock a bit, would that work?

it would probably give you the performance of a stock 1600x or a little bit better if you upgrade the cooler
