I've recently gotten a GTX 1080 and followed standard procedure to get it going

- used DDU for new GPU install

- replaced GPU

- installed latest drivers

Played a bit with it and overclocked as well

My system dual boots Ubuntu and windows (work and play essentially). After finishing some work on Ubuntu I fired up CSGO to see how it worked. Not only did rare occasional stuttering not happen, but I was running about 50ish FPS faster, 290 vs 240

It runs fully maxed settings on both OS's with identical hardware.

Window drivers 384.94

Linux drivers 378.??

CSGO has always been faster in Windows until now.
