S5 charging issues

Replace the charging port. It's a common problem, my sister's S4 Active had the same thing. I think it's $10-$15 if you get it from a reputable seller (I'd recommend iFixit).

Hey all,

I've been using my Samsung S5 for about a year now without any issues, when suddently my phone starts having charging issues:

It can only charge off of a single cable properly (which is bizzare for me), the cable isn't in the best condition either, it's end is worn out.

Phone always appear to be charging extremely slow(displays USB charging even though it's connected straight to the wall plug)

Sometimes out of nowhere the charge disconnects and reconnects again, which drains battery

So long story short this has been happening for about 2 weeks now and it's getting frustrating. So here's what I'm interested in:

1) What could be causing it?

2)Is there any soliution I can try myself without wipping all the data on the phone?

3)If I understand correctly the problem could be with the daughterboard (or whatever it's called) how much does a replacement cost?

Is it hard to replace it?

I don't think so. iFixit will have guides as well.
