So i was able to overclock my SAMSUNG Syncmaster 2253BW moniter (1680x1050P) to 77Hz, but it's capable of hitting 82Hz.

but when it's that high, the bios pops on and blacks out the screen after 1 minute. is there a way around this?

I'm using an Dvi-D (Duel link) cable41rXI6rDgFL.jpg.f1f3aef27da73d5094862b23fdaec16c.jpg

Dual link DVI adds six additional pins (located in the center of the connector) for a second transmitter increasing the bandwidth and supporting resolutions up to 2560 × 1600 at 60 Hz

I am getting a new monitor next month and doesn't mind this monitor dieing.

Here it is at the stable 77Hz that i use every day.

Here it is at 82Hz and the window bios pops up. (happens at 78Hz and above)

Means that the overclock isn't stable or the monitor can't handle it i supposed. My HP can reach 74Hz but blackout immediately after dialing in 75Hz

true. but the monitor isn't stuttering or blurry from 78 to 82, which i thought was odd. and i timed it, exactly 60 seconds til it blacks itself off.
