I've been looking around on Amazon and there seems to be a lot of under $50 under $30 and even less than $15 desktop microphones on the market. I haven't seen a video sorting them out from anyone and I don't know how to recommend it to the LMG guys other than doing this.

Do any of you guys think that would be interesting?

Got any ideas from microphones you've bought for cheap and been surprised by the quality?

For my own personal use, I rewired one that was really old, used to be decent quality, but the control circuit had broke, and it had 2x mono 3.5mm jacks instead of stereo. If you could pick something like that up and refurb it, it would probably serve you well.

Sync RGB fans with motherboard RGB header.

The Blue Snowball has a fantastic reputation, and I've been loving it over the past two years that I've owned it. I couldn't recommend it enough!

It seems like a lot of people like their Snowballs, but is this really a monopoly? What about some of the options that include a boom with clamp to help reduce clutter?

So this seems like a good deal but how does it stack up against the snowball?

Given that the microphone does not use USB, but instead a Phantom Power audio interface that then connects to your computer, I would expect it to be a slight improvement over the Snowball. Keep in mind that you will be spending about $19 extra for the required audio interface. This unit will come to around the same price as the Snowball but without any plug-and-play features. If this is not a factor for you, the Neewer NW-700 looks to be a great option, especially since it comes with an arm and a pop filter.
