I Started looking into Building my first gaming/multipurpose pc I have purchased a 600w evga power supply, corsair vengeance 16gb ram, and a PNY 120gb solid state for windows 10, I purchased the ssd for windows I plan to purchase a cheap 1tb hard drive for my games, unless there is a better deal for an additional ssd with 1tb to avoid the sound.

Like I said in the beginning this will be my first ever build I only know as much as my brain could absorb in the past few weeks, I have these 4 items ready to buy on amazon, but before I made my decision I was hoping I could find help with what I would need. I simply want a gaming system with 1080p with at least 60fps.

I want to save the most I can but have a system that will last and meet my needs so from there this is what I have on my listening with amazon:

Corsair Carbide Series 100R Mid Tower Case

$53.89

Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1050Ti G1Gaming 4GB Graphic Card Black, Boost Clock 1506 MHz , GV-N105TG1GAMING-4GD

$169.99

ASUS Prime B350-Plus AMD Ryzen AM4 DDR4 HDMI DVI VGA M.2 USB 3.1 ATX B350 Motherboard

$92.99

AMD Ryzen 5 1400 Processor with Wraith Stealth Cooler (YD1400BBAEBOX)

$159.99

All of these items and prices were found on Amazon I already know these components will do more than what I need but are any of these items overkill? I don't know anything about over clocking, and I'm certainly no enthusiast I just want the best bang for my buck surely as time progresses I will seek to upgrade but I just want to know if there are items at lower prices that will do what I need, I have already spent 250 on the three items above I didn't plan on spending more than 600 but I would rather spend the most on the graphics card than anything.

Also will I need an aftermarket fan with this build and is there anything else I would need? Everything helps and thanks for your time!

well, usually just play games watch youtube and study I'm starting my IT career and thought I would spoil myself with a pc that I could tweak and make my own, problem is I don't have much knowledge. Primarily I want it for gaming at high settings just flat out a good experience. Also would like to save a little more money, if there are any better deals on similar products I don't mind changing the layout.

This all looks good and I don't think you'll be able to go much cheaper without sacrificing performance. You might be able to find a slightly cheaper 1050ti from a different board partner (there isn't much difference between them all) but other than that I'd say you've done a good job. The stock cooler with the 1400 is good and you won't have issues with it at stock, but if you want more performance from overclocking, which I suggest doing on any Ryzen chip, picking up a $20 tower cooler will help a lot! I suggest something like the Cryorig M9i - it's $20 on Amazon, a great buy that won't hurt the bank. You can even get the cooler later  along the line, as the stock one will be fine - and use some time to get a few dollars saved to get even a little more, a Hyper 212 Evo for instance.

yeah I liked the reviews on the EVO I almost went with the 1500x but I figured I wouldn't need that much performance for awhile putting all of the components together on paper really adds up, I'm super excited. thanks for the advice

You can get the 1500X's performance on your 1400, but it will need to be overclocked which isn't a big deal and with something like the Evo, should be really easy.

yeah I need to look into that I have no idea how over clocking works, I know it boosts the ghz and makes everything fast as hell but that's as far as I know of it as of now

There are many videos out there guiding you through the process and many forum threads doing the same. As you say, overclocking, increases the core frequencies, so more speed, it comes at the expense of heat though. Ryzen chips do not overclock very well past 4GHz, but they see very good performance leaps up to that point. It is almost guaranteed that you will get at least 3.8GHz out of the 1400 which is much higher than it's 3.2GHz base clock. You should be able to get 3.9GHz but the cooler might be the limiting factor here, as more cooling is necessary to keep the CPU temperature from going to high. Overclocking is amazing as it is literally free performance and as long as you do your research, you'll learn how to do it quickly and the process is easier than many people make it out to be.
