Motherboard Upgrade

I would like to upgrade my motherboard in a Dell Inspiron 3847 to something more modern as it only supports DDR3 and 4th gen Intel cpus.  I have heard that the current board is a mix between an atx and a matx but cannot find the exact size on Dell's support page.  I have also heard of an issue with the frontpannel connecters as they are not standard.  The motherboard name is Dell 088dt1. Thanks

Its all proprietory, dont even bother upgrading the mobo.

If anything upgrade ram, and get a ssd.

nah that board looks like a micro ATX motherboard. You can swap out the motherboard and CPU for another microatx set but i wouldnt bother since 4th gen intel still is very fast and powerful even with ddr3 ram

If I could find a separate front panel i/o hub, could i bypass the current i/o used by pc
