quality, lanes and better cooling( so better OC) usually

Quality meaning..? Lanes I probably don't need to worry about. And better v rm cooling you mean? Would my pro4 be able to push 4ghz (if my chip can obviously)

sli, Crossfire, more exotic stroge solution.

a article that explains it well https://www.ekwb.com/blog/what-is-mosfet-and-why-should-you-keep-it-cool/

yes, it should give you more headroom.

Alright so I'm planning on getting Vega when it releases and not doing crossfire (although my board does support cf, not sli) meh better build quality I mean it's not like I'm touching it all the time, my board already has two m.2 and if I were to use them I'd only use 1, I don't really need more exotic then that lol, as long as I can oc to 4ghz without my vrms burning down my house or something (exaggeration, but still) I don't really care. Plus the Mobo shuts down once they get too hot right? So do you think it's worth the extra 70 to return it for x370 or use it towards a case?

you should be fine with b350m long you don't try to OC too much, ram support is getting better on b350m, a single card should be fine.

yup, it should be good.

Alright that's relieving. I guess that 70 can go towards a case. One more question if you don't mind, but when I picked up the mobo I accidently grabbed it by the heatsink and it bent a little (not the actual heatsink, I think the mounting just isn't completely stable) and I could do it on the other one to.is this a case of quality being better on x370? Also will this affect anything? (It seems fine)

it will depend on you, x370 should be able to get better OC, better memory support, and SLI, long as you do your research, you should be fine.

The issue with the B350 boards is keeping the VRM cool. B350 boards have been seeing high VRM temps some Gigabyte boards jump to over 90-100C on idle with a Ryzen 8 core you didn't actually say what CPU you were planning to buy

i ALREADY BOUGHT IT, ITS THE 1700. aND i THINK MY PRO4 HAS THE VRM COOLERS RIGHT? edit: woops caps

Yeah then it can use a LOT of power at 1.425V 4Ghz and i simply don't recommend doing it.

I own the same CPU and my board's VRM at 1.2V and 3.6Ghz run at 68-70C and that is with a fan over the heat-sink.

8 core can draw over 100 amps through the VRM at that voltage and if the VRM goes it can take the CPU with it.

Some users at overclock.net already blew their boards and broke some Ryzen 7 CPU's with B350 boards. However if you stick with 1.2 you will be fine. But you will not max out your CPU clock speed at safe VRM temps.

I'd return the board and get something better the best board for the cheapest amount of money with the best VRM is the MSI B350 GAMING PRO CARBON
