So i recently watched this LTT video

and among all the other stuff, I've been curious about linus' SSD. In the video he said he keeps a full bootable OS on there with some diagnostic tools and such. As i am trying to make my own "tech go bag", I was wondering what software you guys would recommend for a bootable drive? ideally something that can be used on all 3 OSSes (mac, win, linux)

A good way to do that would be to create multiple bootable partitions, one for each OS. You would need a larger capacity, however. but this way, you could boot into whatever OS you need to repair, and work on diagnostics from there. As for software, I don't know much about Mac OS or Linux, but for Windows I would recommend Hitman Pro as antimalware. It works miracles, and it is what I used while I worked for my local repair store.

i was thinking something more along the lines of two partitions, one for EFI boot and one for legacy BIOS (maybe i could do that with one) but thats a good idea

I usually have live usb of Ubuntu on a spare flash drive and another spare one with the windows installer. I don't know about mac but generally booting from USB support on your mobo is all that's needed to but the drives. I use YUMI to make the Ubuntu or other linux based live usb, and the windows upgrade tool to make the windows one.
