PWM splitter

I bought 3 pwm Y splitters and it said in the description that its 4pin to 4pin. When i checked, its 4pin to one which has 4 pins and another which has only 3 pins if that makes sense. Is that normal?

If you can still connect pwm fan to 3 pins, yes, it is normal from what I've experienced.

yep, that is normal - the one wire that is missing on the second connector is for the RPM signal. you can only read RPM from ONE fan at a time per mainboard connector so it does not make sense to run this wire into both connectors
