Windows 8.1 64-bit update fatal error loop

Go to solution Solved by Mathsnerds,

If anyone else experiences this kind of problem, I have now solved it.

What was occurring was that windows was trying to update even though there was not enough storage space.

I ended up temporarily cutting some files to another drive by putting my OS drive in a HDD Dock.

Once I had cleared about 8GB of space, I plugged the drive back in and waited.

Sure enough windows boots with 2 GB left of space...

Hope this helps anyone out their suffering from this poor update over-sight.

Hello,

I recently decided to do updates on my windows 8.1 machine. I used the update manager in windows controll pannel to download 700MB of various updates. It then asked to restart my computer, so naturally i thought nothing would happen and it would configure them just fine and i would be booted back into windows. However, on the windows loading screen i get various fatal error messges, see atttched files.

I have tried booting in safe mode and just continueing to windows through the automatic repair dialogue. I also tried doing a asystem refresh (just OS) with the original windows 8.1 disc. None of these are working, i have also unplug and plugged in the SSD.

i would preferably like to keep all ththe files on the system.

Any idea of how i could get through this? Thanks in advance!

When i go to use the chkdsk function and type in"chkdsk /r C:" it does not reginise the SSD and goes straight to checking the HDD.
