I'm new here but I've been a long time watcher of Linus. Yesterday, I replaced my Gigabyte Z170 Gaming 7 which was dying with an Asus Z270 Maximus IX Code. I'm running a 6700k cooled by a Corsair H100i GTX, EVGA FTW3 1080 ti, 16GB EVGA SSC DDR4, a couple of Samsung Evo's and a WD Blue. All is powered by an EVGA 850 P2 and my case is a Corsair 750D.

Cooling has never been an issue until now. On my old board, I would have temps that average in the low to mid 60's at load. After replacing my board, I'm averaging in the 80's and 90's. Asus is all new to me so I'm slowly learning, but I can't manage to get my temps down at all. I'm tempted to return this board and go with another brand but I really wanted to go with an Asus this round. I have had my h100i plugged into the AIO header on the board and I've tried with it running off of the CPU Fan Header. I've taken the cooler off two times now, cleaned the block and the chip and re-applied thermal paste with no significant reduction in temps. I've tried letting the board manage all of the cooling and then decided to try using corsair link again. No significant changes in temps have been observed. Has anyone reading this had this issue or know someone who has? I'm lost at this point and finally reaching out for some help. Starting to wonder if my cooler is possibly dying and all of this is coincidental or if this is an issue with the board?
