Line in help.

So I'm not sure if this should go here or in motherboards, but whatever.

 

When I connect my phone to the line in of my motherboard (ASUS Z170-A), I hear the sounds through my headphones (connected to main audio output), even when I have line in disabled. When I enable the line in (listen to this device, etc.), I get an echo effect (presumably because listening to the line in adds some delay as opposed to what is playing when I have it disabled). Any Ideas?

Other: Added 3x Noctua NF-F12 intake, 2x Noctua NF-A8 exhaust, Inatek 5 port USB 3.0 expansion card with usb 3.0 front panel header

Try disabling all enhancements in you sound settings for output.

Did nothing. Why would that change anything?
