Best Multi-Platform Gaming Headset

Howdy All,

 

I am looking for a multi-platform gaming headset to use with my PC and Xbox One, and I am looking for some input. My budget is anywhere from $60-$100 USD.

 

I will mainly be using the headset on my PC, and I will be using the chat cable to chat with friends on my Xbox.

 

A few things I am looking for in the headset.

- I like a physical mic mute switch. I do not like buttons, unless the button is a latch button

- I am a bit of an audiophile, so good sound quality would be nice.

- No wireless headphones, I like my wires.

 

Edit:

I would like to be able to keep the headset plugged into the PC while I am using it with my Xbox, to play my music while gaming.

What if I had the same question, except ps4 and PC, I'm not picky about the style of mute button (but I will need one), and it needs to be wireless?

I don't know about the wireless part, but the PS4 uses the same 4-poll 3.5mm connecter for game chat on the controller as the Xbox One controller. So you should be able to find a recommendation for a headset here.
