Asus G74sx Replacement

Have had my G74sx from Asus for some years now and i need something that i can take with me while i travel. Would like something that would still be able to game but no be on the same level as the current ROG laptops. Would like to stay under the $1000 price tag.

 

Will be using for some gaming don't need anything to max out settings but would like a constant frame rate.

 

If anyone has some input that would be amazing.

I just got this recently, and I'm very happy with it so far. The performance is about on par with 1060 3gb (and some of the power throttled 6gb) models.
