Asus Maximus vi formula?

So im trying to pick out a motherboard. I have picked out my case and cpu. My case has 2 usb 3 ports and 2 usb 2 ports. I plan on getting an h100i or something similar. The question is that the h100i or something has a usb 2 connector and the mobo only has 1. Should i pick one from the case or the one from the cooler to put in the connector or get a different mobo? And does the asus vi have a great fan controller so would i need the water cooling one anyway?

The H100i controller also lets you change the colour on the H100i from stock white to any colour.

 

I have not tried it succefully as my H100i is damaged, but, it does have a mini USB connection on the side so you could temporarily plug it into a full USB socket with a USB to USB mini cable. It does plug in correctly and there's no reason why it shouldn't work, it's just that my H100i interface is broken so I can't verfy that for you.

 

At any rate. You could also set up the H100i colour with the provided USB cable and then just leave it and unplug the cable.
