This is my first post on this forum and im super excited to see Linus' fan base and out reach grow. However I do have something i'd like to get some feedback on. Im doing a mod for my corsair 600t case. I want to enlarge the side window to include the rest of my 480, H80i, HDDs, SSDs, sexy XFX Power supply, and just allowing the black internal theme to really come out. I've never done a mod before and this one would include cutting into the side panel so im looking for some advise as to how to cut, what to cut with, how to make it straight, etc.

Firstly remove the acrylic / plexi which acts as the window. Using masking tape (decorating tape), tape where and how far you want to cut to make the space bigger. Then, using a rule, just simply draw the lines you want to cut out. Make sure it's to your specification etc.

To cut it, many modder's preference is the Dremel . This is basically a little and powerful hand tool which can be used to cut. It's designed to be precise hence it's form factor and ease-of-use. After you've cut out, i would then file the edges to remove any sharpness and round them off. You will also probably need to drill some new holes for the new, larger glass window to sit into so take this into account aswell.
