Low CPU usage at all times

The other day my i7 started throttling in game now it won't even go past 1ghz of speed no matter what i do please help

Are you in High Performance Mode? Temps? Intel SpeedStep Enabled?

I am in high performance mode temps say 100c for the cpu and 40c for system I have Intel Speedstep disabled

Which i7? 100c seems like a lot.

Check if the cooler got unplugged somehow or if its even spinning. Might have just died or something

Those temps don't seem safe at all. What cooler do you have? Is it even running?

The cooler is on and running it is a lepa aquachanger 240

What Motherboard do you have? If you can check your Fan RPM's because something is not right with that cooler.

Make sure your pump is also running

I have an Msi Gaming G-45 Z97 it says that the rpms for the fans are 2700 and 1200 rpms

Yep cooling fail or you hardware sensor failed

Well the cooler is on and seems to be working and everything is plugged in

The only thing with a high temp is my cpu everything else seems to be within temp i checked the cooler and its working just fine

i fixed it i just needed to re apply the thermal paste
