Upgrading to Creator's Update

I'm trying to upgrade a Windows 10 install from the previous build to the Creator's Update via a flash drive.  I've gotten to the "Choose what to keep" stage.  There are three options:  "Keep personal files and apps", "Keep personal files only", and "Nothing".  I want to keep all the installed programs and files.  Does "apps" include programs, or is it just stuff from the Windows Store?

As the post says, "keep personal files and apps" keeps everything besides the system itself, therefore the programs also stay intact.

You can download the creators update from there website and update from the the program

There is a update now option in creators update download section

It will download an updater that will do all the work done for you

In that case I'm sorry.  I looked for quite awhile, so obviously we were using different search terms.  All I could find is that it meant your "apps" weren't removed.  Since people have started calling every kind of program an "app", it didn't clear anything up for me.
