Active to passive USB

That should be fine.

PC>active>passive; should work as long as the signal is boosted as it goes into the passive cable.

I'm trying to relocate my PC. My problem is that in order to do that I need to buy expensive active cables. I know they sell them in shorter lengths which is around my budget of $50. My question is can I string a active USB 3.0 extension with an non-active and not experience any bad effects like power issues or latency? Ideally I'd get a 16ft active USB 3.0 and a 9 foot passive. Thoughts?
