new gpu makes screen look bad

Just upgraded aka got a real gaming pc and I use my tv as my monitor and before the ati 2400 pro set to the right resolution looked tbh really good it was crisp now with this when I first set it to the resolution it looked well blurry until i went into nividia and changed it there to the resolution now it looks crisp but the colors the brightness and stuff is off I even messed with that in the nividia control panel colors just look off black and whites look good but in thumb nail and stuff with a lot of color it looks almost as if they are overlapping its not crisp at all ANY guesses ideas would be greatly appreciated
