Hello guys,

I'm planning to build a PC, actually I already bought some parts lol. I need suggestion/advise from you guys.

MOBO: Maximus VIII Ranger (already bought)

CPU: Intel i5 7500 (already bought)

GPU: Strix 1050Ti OC 4gb

RAM: G.Skills Ripjaws V 2x4 8gb

PSU: Seasonic S12II 520 watts (dunno if it is correct)

HDD: Seagate/WD 1TB

CASE: Tecware Alpha or Edge

I'll be using stock cooler FOR NOW
"Bought Maximus but no overclock CPU" yes, Maximus is on sale right now here almost half the price and I will be upgrading this PC to RGB set up so I bought Maximus.
I will upgrade the casing to Corsair 460x when I already have cash.

I'll be using this PC for Mid gaming

Appreciate your help and suggestion!

You do know your z170 motherboard probably needs a bios update for it to work with kabylake processors?

Yes, they said I can come back to the store if the BIOS is not updated so they can update it for me. It is just that all i5 Skylake is out of stock.

If you can find a fine refurbished GTX 970, go get one, it's better than the 570 and you can get it for $150 give or take :)

Edit: if you have a freesync monitor, then just go for the 570 :)

Well, it seems that upgrading the BIOS will be my main problem here (if ever they don't upgrade it for me lol)
Do you think a newbie like me can upgrade it myself by watching some videos?

I'll take a look on the GPU's you have suggested guys.

Updating BIOS is even easier than installing Windows on modern motherboards

But you need a thumb drive, a working PC to copy the BIOS file in it though
