So you can assign the buttons to do anything but when you're in game they stop working?

they do what they are suppose to do outside of the game which in this case is volume up/down
that's weird cuz the other keys are used for other purposes like that too (e.g. forward & back ) but in game i can map them and do what i want
that's not the case with the other two

So currently the two keys are mapped in your mouse software as Vol up and Down. Maybe the game does not allow you to map Vol Up and down to an in game action. Try changing the mapping on the buttons in the mouse software to keyboard keys like 'L' or 'P' and try again.

i know this is going to sound weird but here it goes
i discovered i had another problem
the function of the 2 buttons which is to control the sound doesn't even work except when i first install the driver
after that nothing i tried doing what you said (setting the mouse buttons to keyboard buttons via the micro setting and they don't work even outside of game)

it's not fixed ?!!
it's not even doing anything now

it sounded like you found the solution. Mybad. But i'm afraid i can't help you any further i guess. I don't use the extra programmable buttons on my mouse tbh. I have only binded one button to the "." key and in every game i set push to talk to "." That way i can talk a lot easyer. I'm guessing you tried a full reset? Delete the drivers + all remaining files and reinstall it?
