Cable to CPU not long Enough

Working on a custom PC build and reusing a power supply in the previous PC to the new motherboard, however, the cable from the power supply to the CPU run is longer in the old case and doesn't fit in the new one. Any ideas short from buying a new supply? I'm not overtly confident in making a new cable or jerry-rigging an old one to work.
