Help with routers

I'm a noob when it comes to networking so bear with me if I say anything stupid. I'm looking for a router under 70 GBP and was wondering which is best for Nvidia's Gamestream. Also will my PC get a better connection by wiring it up to ythe router or the ethernet connection that comes straight form my wall? I don't know if these are dumb questions, just tell me if they are please. TIA
