Hello,

Currently I am thinking of upgrading my setup with some RGB light strips. I am thinking of buying this, https://www.amazon.com/SUPERNIGHT-5-Meter-Waterproof-Flexible-Changing/dp/B00KCHRKD6/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8&th=1

If you don't mind looking over my setup plan please tell me if it would work!

With it I am thinking of putting it along my bottom section (I do not know the name of my desk)image5.thumb.jpeg.555c8ca8b571e99dcc6c951297d60959.jpeg

It goes all around the desk like this, under the ledge. Also If possible I would like to do my monitor - https://www.asus.com/us/Monitors/MX279H/

I have a little hole that I think it could use to connect it to IR Controller

I am planning on starting it on this side of my monitor, and going a full loop on my desk all the way around to the other side, then going up to my monitor

From there I am thinking of going all the way around to the other side of the monitor and putting it around my border of my monitorIMG_1043.thumb.JPG.ebf235264141a815e5349e3a4eaea9ea.JPG

and then down into my inner desk which I would put aroundimage4.thumb.jpeg.a655d07dc22a114e52868f72e2f84fdf.jpegIMG_1039.thumb.JPG.e8a007101a2665d986453bcc9af65a7b.JPG

I would then have it going from there all the way over to the left side and then loop it around to the other side and do the same, then connect it to the IR receiver that I am planning on putting On the roof of my deskFullSizeRender.thumb.jpg.9f64c941390a4842167ceff30d5527e2.jpg

The IR receiver would be held up by Duct tape (Please tell me if this would work) and I will plug in the power cord.

Please tell me if this would all work. I measured everything and should have plenty of rgb strip.

My main question is if everything would work and if Duct Tape would be good to put up or something else would be better.

Thanks :)

UPDATE - Turns out the 10m version does not come with the 44 key remote. If I buy this remote http://www.supernight.cc/supernight-tm-ir-remote-controller-44-keys-for-rgb-led-light-strip.html would it work with it?

you can't really bend/curve those types of strips sideways AFAIK. so putting it under the lip would be hard.

Ok I think I will be able to botch that. Another question is if I buy another remote as this one does not come with a 44 key(24 key) would I be able to switch out the IR receiver and it still work with that remote?
