You'll be fine with Ryzen, just OC it up a bit.

Plan is to go

I7 kabylake ublocked

As t least 16gb ddr4

Asrock z270 mobo

Already have case and psu

Want to go 1080ti SLI but heard frame rate isn't nearly as good on them.

Open to suggestions, I also have a two monitor setup and a corsair 750d, so plenty of room and also psu is an 850 gq 80+ gold.

Snip

If you fully intend to go for 1080ti SLI, do not get a Ryzen CPU. You're going to want every last bit of CPU performance to keep up with the frames coming out of those. Nothing wrong with going Ryzen otherwise though.

It might be better to list a budget and see what you can do from there.

I've never gone AmD due to how they reach high ass temps. Ryzen just seems sketch

? Ryzen's fine. Any CPU reaches high ass temps if you don't have proper cooling.

Why ryzen over the new i7? Just curious. And would dual 1080ti even be worth. Was told it a cctually runs better by itself.

Eh, really depends. As far as I can remember, it's cheaper than the i7 as of now, and the difference isn't really worth it, IMO. And no, usually not worth SLIing or X-firing.

Ryzen will be better at supporting multiple monitors and keeping up with the 1080ti as well. Still not sure about sli on the 1080ti It'd be a hell of a setup but aparently the frames drop way more if you sli them.

If you will be streaming or recording ryzen will be better considering more cores/threads
