I'm upgrading from the Intel Pentium G3258 to a Xeon E5-2670 v1. I looked at some motherboards with the same socket (LGA 2011) and I found a few.

The primary one I'm interested in is the Intel DX79TO. The website says the Xeon E5-2670 v1 is supported.

I added it to a PcPartPicker list, and said the two weren't compatible.

I thought I would ask here just to fully make sure if the Xeon E5-2670 v1 is actually supported by the motherboard.

I see the Xeon E5-2670 listed, but not the Xeon E5-2670 v1. It's the right socket and chipset so it may still work, but Intel doesn't seem like they want to guarantee it.
