So, i have a linux/windows dual boot i set up recently. But, after i set up the dual boot, windows has stopped being able to update. As in, it gives me an error and says "We weren't able to install the updates, undoing changes" or something to that effect. And I am unable to install the creators update, which i haven't had the chance to try out yet. I do not intend on uninstalling the Linux partition, because I'm really liking linux and I have no intention on getting rid of it. I have a slew of reasons that apply to me specifically for this.

Please don't tell me to pick one or the other. if i can't fix the problem i have right now then i'll just live with the version of windows that i have... Sorry if that seems unreasonable, it kind of is.

Windows doesn't play very well  with other operating systems. I would personally recommend using one drive for each operating system instead of just a partition. If this isn't possible for some reason, then the only way I can think of off the top of my head would be to just reinstall Windows from the ground up. Keep in mind that you would lose any files that you don't have backed up.

I do have a second hard drive... but here's the problem with that. Most any distro of linux you use will come with a Boot loader that allows you to have options when you boot up your computer. The boot loader that came with antergos is... frustrating. no matter what i select in the boot menu the boot loader takes over and i only get those options. So multiple hard drives isn't an option. And I have a lot of data that i haven't backed up yet. Which i will be doing soon, but reinstalling windows is going to be a bit of a hassle. but if that's my only option then i guess i better get started.
