Need advice on MBP Issue

Hey everyone.

 

I curriently have a 2011 15" MBP that has the overheating issue, previously when the break would occour i would take it to apple and they would fix it no quesitons asked. The program for this has since finished and im stuck with the same issue from before.

 

My question is should i repair the laptop for it to happen again (Been quoted $50 to $400 to repair it (Only cost me $500 to purchase)) Or should i sell it as parts and invest in another laptop.

 

My second question is. Is there another laptop that has the same feel as typing using a MBP and the trackpad from the Uniboby MBP's.

 

Any advice would be appreciated and please no Mac vs Pc wars comments.

I'd probably spend $50 to repair it then sell it. You won't get much for it as parts.

you should probably mention its condition before selling it to anyone. maybe someone might have a better use for a dying system and they won't be caught off guard when they notice its dying.
