External (USB) Sound Card

Hi

 

I need usb sound card for record my voice with microphone (jack 3,5)  and I think about this models:

- Audiotrak Maya U5

- Creative SoundBlaster X-FI

- Asus Xonar U5

 

What are you think about this 3 cards? What card will be the best option for my requirements?

I'm currently using U7 - the difference is that you would have 5.1 channels and I have 7.1.

 

I would suggest you to buy USB microphone - it would be cheaper and better.

You can find nice used microphones for pretty good price.

 

If you want to stay with your jack pick do not put your mic on max - leave 5% off because sound will be extremelly bad - even worse than sound from internal card.
