$100 sounds pretty good, albeit a 3770 is overkill for light gaming/homework/web browsing.

You could go even higher if you want. New ones cost 450 dollars USD. Here is the site: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIAAEE4P33928&cm_re=Core_i7_3770-_-9SIAAEE4P33928-_-Product

The cost of a new one is irrelevant -- what's relevant is the cost of a new somewhat-comparable CPU -- which is $160~ (Ryzen R5 1400, which is actually about 20% faster).

Is the i7 3770 worth $100? Used for light gaming and homework/ normal browsing

It is a great price if you want to buy one. I paid 180 euros form mine (although it is the K model) in october.

If you want to sell it it is a bit lower price than expected.
