Hello all!,

Ive been looking to upgrade my K501LB for a while now to something a LOT more powerful for use in Gaming and Rendering 3D.

As school ends, i will be able to pick up some more money at the end of the school year (end of june), to top my current 755€ at around 1000€, hopefully. For this money i need to buy both a pc and a monitor. I have a mouse and keyboard, but am looking to upgrade on the future. I also want to mention that asthetics are impotrant to me, as the pc is going to be on my desk. I am currently living in switzerland, and I can get things from 3 websites. Prodimex.ch, amazon.fr, and alza.sk. So far, I have compiled the folowing parts list, which I can buy for just under my price point:

CPU - Ryzen 5 1600

Mobo - MSI B350M Gaming Pro

Ram - 8gb HyperX fury black

GPU - Gigabyte G1 Gaming Gtx 1060 6gb

PSU - Corsair CX500M

Storage - 1TB seagate barracuda

             -  120gb SSD from AMD

Case - NZXT Source 220 (2 led fans)

Can anyone of you who have built a pc before tell me some tips and/or reccomendatioms for this build.

Thanks a lot,

-Lukas

thats about the best your going to get man i would give u that or a rx480 8gb for gpu make sure u get the 1600 not the 1600x as the 1600 comes with a cooler and the 1600x does not  try to get 16gb of ram at 2133 or 2400mhz as games like bf1 push 9gb-10gb of usage

Switch the ssd, and more RAM. 16gb is the standard as the majority of games will use much more than 8gb of RAM with textures on high.

Maybe switch the PSU to an EVGA G3 series, but other then that you look good.

Get a rx580 8gb over gf1060. Similar performance and price but with rx580 you can buy a cheap FreeSync 1080p monitor and get great value out of it. AOC have some great cheap FreeSync monitors. I also advocate for cheap 16gb of ram instead of good 8gb. More ram is better and with 8gb you cannot multitask well. Other parts are fine, great cpu and mobo choice! If you want better psu then see evga g2. And buy your own thermal paste. Good luck!
