I have my PC in my room about 4,5 - 5 m away from the router. There is absolutely no way I could connect the PC via Ethernet (house architecture doens't help much) so I'm stuck on Wi-Fi. Since that's the case, can anyone recommend a good hardware solution for the receptor that is reliable and works fine (currently own a USB antenna and 10 mpbs download speed).

Thanks in advance!

I've just been using a TP-Link PCIe card for a few years now with no problems. And now that I think about it, I've used TP-Link for every computer I've built so far.

Something like http://www.microcenter.com/product/383917/TL-WDN4800_N900_Wireless_Dual_Band_PCI_Express_Adapter is $35, but you can find something similar at Amazon, Frys, Newegg, etc.

Reading your question, I'm not sure if you mean that the speed your ISP provides 10Mbps or if that is the speed you are getting with the USB antenna. If that is the speed you get with the antenna and expect to get higher speeds from your ISP, you may want to check your router's specs as well.

10 mbps is the speed from my ISP. I felt the need to include it because some USB solutions bottleneck higher transfer rates that I don't have anyways so if I went with one of those I wouldn't be able to take advantage of it.

Thanks man, I'll check it out right away!!
