Recently got a message on Windows 10 that my hard drive is running low on space. Looked at my Samsung SSD "magician" software and it confirmed I have about 0.36GB of space left out of 465 GB usable space. I was curious as to what is eating up all of my storage so I looked to pictures, documents, downloads, music - those 4 combined are 170 GB when I right click "properties". When I look at the C: drive in total it states 310 GB storage used. Where is all of my data being used if not in these areas? I have a 500 GB HDD and a 2.0TB HDD (in addition to SSD) with data on them but they shouldn't be using much, if any, space on my SSD, right? Not even sure where to begin deleting files to free up space...I have a lightroom catalog that is about 1.5 GB, which I thought would be a lot bigger. Looking for some help. If you need more information please let me know...

Follow up question out of curiosity, why would the C: drive storage and the Samsung Software not match up?

Clearly I am missing something here...

there must be one of the programs in program files or program files (x86) that is taking up the rest of the space

you can check programs and features in control panel then find large applications and see if they are installed on your C:\ drive

Wow, ok. When I right click, properties on the programs files x86 it states 83.4 GB. Is that in addition to what the C: drive is showing when I right click properties?

Sorry to be so basic but this is getting out of my "know how" area.

this total of C drive includes the 83.4GB, so combine that with the 310 from the other one and that gets you closer. REALLY need to make sure you've turned off the PageFile and System Restore as those waste a LOT of writes on the SSD.

In the Samsung Software go to OS Optimization and select Maximum Reliability and Apply then do a Disk Cleanup and see how much space you free up.

That won't delete anything that I need to have such as music, pics, downloads, music etc...will it?

NO, it just clears Restore Points and the Pagefile, no actual DATA gets deleted and clearing the Recycle Bin just clears stuff you've already deleted and some other junk files.
