Ryzen Power Plan Changing Processor Power Management

Hey Guys

So yeah, i installed the latest AMD Chipset drivers 17 something and they came with a power plan, in the power plan i have noticed that my Ryzen 5 1500x is set to 90% minimum and 100% maximum which means that the processor is almost constantly at 3.5Ghz and my temps go between 35/34C idle and 45-55C Under load, mostly around 44/45C when gaming ( im using water cooling ), which is fine, i read about the P-State issue and its all really confusing, but i get that this is AMD's recommendation.

Like, i know my temps are fine and all that. im not worried, but fact is that allowing the processor to drop to 5% in PPM i did notice much, much lower tempuratures on average.

So My question is, Is it best to go with AMD's Recommendation, or can i lower the PPM minimun state to 5% and will it harm the processor in anyway. or is it just a performance thing.

All it means is that the clock speed won't drop below 90% (unless it was to thermal throttle, but at those temps that isn't a worry)

Lowering it generally won't make a difference in temperatures, but i certainly won't harm the processor having it lower.
