microhone not working

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the audio drivers? Since you tried a few different headsets/Mics it might be a driver problem

I turned my pc on this morning and the mic was not working i thought it was a simple fix but nothing is working the mic is plugged in and windows is detecting it but those bars are not lighting up as i talk it seems like a broken mic but i have tried different usb ports and different mics even my headset with a mic and speakers the speakers work on the headset but not the mic thanks i really need this fixed quick

Do you by chance have a inline mute? I know I have hit it a few times in my life and thought my mic died on me....

Yes i do and but it is not enabled and i also tried multiple headphones i have one pear of headphones that i can hear myself through my mic but the pc is still not showing green bars

Double check Mic Properties under recording devices and look at levels and make sure its not turned down to 0 or off. I have seen that happen once or twice for no reason just happened.

Nope its good there. its like the pc is not detecting the input but i just dont know why

just as you say that i just did it and restarted my pc reinstalled my driver and it worked thanks
