Super budget phone

okay... so I'm looking for a new phone but I've just upgraded my laptop so it needs to be super cheap - I mean like - less than £300 GBP.  I'm not bothered about sound as I usually use headphones and camera is not a big issue but horsepower to play decent games and apps is a must.  Any ideas?

my mom was going to get the g5 plus but a samsung galaxy s7 for 380 euros popped up so she got that

get a used nexus 6, galaxy s5 or next bit robin if you can find one.

They were previous generation flagships using Snapdragon 8XX chipsets, nothing to scoff at.

I particularly like the G4 because the battery is replaceable, makes it an immortal phone.

my dad has an old galaxy s4 lying around and he said its mine if i wanted it and i'm seriously considering it, just wondered if there was any newer phones with higher specs for roughly the same price
