Hey guys. I didn't find this issue here so I will start a new topic.

I have pretty big cooler, Alpenföhn Olymp, it's 18 cm wide so I can't put a gpu into the first slot on mobo I have now (MSI X99S Sli Plus), so I need a mobo that has the first pcie slot farther than 8 cm, preferably around 9cm so I could put gpu into the first pcie slot. It's not a big issue now but in the future if I wanted to go for sli, it could become a problem.

Thanks for help guys, have a nice day.

Hi there and welcome to LTT.

I will make this quick and also dirty, sorry in advance:

1. Don't SLI - not worth it - only problems - too much of a hazzle - seriously

2. I doubt there is a board that has the PCI slot further away, it's an ATX standard design. The PCI slots have to stay or they wouldn't fit in standard cases. The CPU socked can't be moved around much either since the board designs with ATX are pretty tight in terms of how they have to look. I guess you are at a loss here. Maybe someone else can come up with a consumer grade solution.Enterprise gear is another story though you don't want to use that for gaming anyway. Way too expensive.

3. That cooler costs around ~60 Euro/Dollar give or take? When the time comes that its size will be an issue throw it away and get something more in line like Noctuha NH-D15 or Be Quiet's Dark Rock

I agree with @ItsTheDuckAgain, with some additions:
- A new motherboard with those specs probably exists but will cost more than a new, smaller cooler

- If you're set on using the cooler and SLI (even if, like said, it's mostly useless and problematic), look for motherboards with 3 PCI slots maybe

Maaaaan, I was deciding between those 3 coolers. BeQuiet, Noctua and Alpenföhn. Chose it because it looked better than Noctua and performed a bit better. Also I will need new mobo since I have bent pins on the socket and nobody here can or want to repair it so only 1 of 8 ram slots works... Btw I've got 6800k so mobo that works natively without BIOS update would be really appreciated since I don't have any Haswell-E cpu to boot it with :) I am kinda disappointed that I will probably have to sell the cooler but the mobo is needed, might not go for the SLI as you said so I could just buy 2 corsair vengeance lpx and have 4x8 RAM in total withou the sli :)

I would recommend this one: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/kWX2FT/asus-motherboard-x99prousb31

Bit pricey though ~ 300$

I have black  and red build so I will probably go for Asus X99 Strix or ASUS RAMPAGE V EXTREME, was looking also for MSI but I am not sure about them.
