Open/Save Crashing Applications

Here's a strange one that my computer has been doing since I upgraded to the Creators Update. Any time I go to open a file in a program, or save a picture in Chrome (basically, anything that involves the open or save window), the application crashes.

It started after I upgraded to the Creator's Update earlier today. I did a restore of the OS and it looked like the problem was solved, however, it just started doing it again a few hours ago.

I'm going to try another install and see if it's an application that causing the problem.

have you noted which default location the 'save file' dialog box opens up to? if it's always the same location , eg: c:\users\yourname\downloads,or a different location in the same hdd, could be that your hdd is faulty and has problems reading from it. you could try changing the downloads location in chrome and set it to another hdd and try saving files to it, if it doesn't hang, it's probably the previous download location hdd that's dying. or just some windows glitch.

Thanks for the suggestions. I did a complete reinstall, but I'm going to keep an eye on things and see if it starts doing it again.
