Help a noob with upgrading his GPU

So I just ordered my new GPU to put into my current PC and realized that I have no idea if I need to do anything specific when it comes to swapping it out for my old one. Can anyone help me out?

Do you mean cpu? What is your current cpu, gpu, power supply wattage, what gpu did you order

No I mean GPU, do I need to do anything with my drivers or anything when I put my new GPU in my PC?

Probably not unless you have a different current gpu manufacturer, like amd instead of nvidia

all you need to do is take the old one out and put the new one in and make sure you install the drivers.

oh yeah you're fine don't worry about anything. If they are different brand graphics cards (like msi, asus, gigabyte, whatever) you might have to install custom software that they have for their cards. It's not needed for the card to run. I didn't install it for my gigabyte card.
