Dual Audio Output

Okay guys. I have an idea and no real idea of how to implement it.

My family is dual language. Some members speak English. Some speak only Spanish. Some are bilingual. When we have movie nights I have English audio and Spanish subtitles. Which is wonderful. But, it's not optimal.

What I think should be possible would be dual audio output. This would be from a media PC running Kodi. The English output would go out to optical channel and the Spanish output would go somewhere...

Thats where it gets fuzzy. I was first thinking of sending the Spanish out of the analog channels and picking it up to a couple Bluetooth transmitters or something. But then I was wondering if there is a solution for this. Like a audio service you could run a server for.

I don't know. I'm just looking for input from some of the fantastic minds out here on the forum. Thanks.

I would suggest routing the Spanish audio into a Bluetooth transmitter, so that the Spanish speakers can wear headsets.

Others can recommend headsets, as I sign know much about them, but here is a pair that will work-

I can handle headsets. I wonder if there is a Bluetooth transmitter which can handle more then one output though. I've never seen one.

If you're using Kodi, the first thing you want to look at is getting Kodi to do what you want.  By default, Kodi doesn't have this function, but there is a seperate fork that has dual audio output.

However, as someone who speak's only one language, I've never used this fork and really can't answer any questions on it, I'm just a Vanilla Kodi user who knows that this exists but I hope it gets you on the right track.
