Do I need a new pump?

I am looking at upgrading my system in the near future. Currently I have a XSPC RX 360 water cooling kit with the Bay Res/pump Combo. I am currenty using this pump to a CPU block and 1 GPU. I am looking in the near future to upgrade to a second GPU and a second rad. With this purchase should I pick up a different pump or will my current one do?

iirc, you get a Laing D5 Vario with that kit. That is one of the most powerful (popular) pumps people use in watercooling. Short of adding a second one, there isn't much you could do to improve on it's perfromance.

 

That being said that pump is very strong and two GPUs and a CPU block isn't much for it. (now-a-day radiators often cause a very small amount of restriction so in small amounts they don't really make the pump work much harder)

I that case it might be worth upgrading to the D5 Vario. Not only because it is stronger (The X20 750 probably will be able to handle it) but because the MTBF od the D5 Vario is 5 years. Which just means there is a very small chance of it ever failing on you compared to other pumps.

It really depends how old the pump already is and how much water in liters it is able to pump per hour.

 

When you have got the money left the D5 would be a nice option.
