I've recently gotten the XFX 4GB RX 480 in the mail. I was super excited when I opened the box and slotted it into my motherboard. I installed the latest drivers AMD had to offer and opened up Diablo 3, a typically not very demanding game, and as soon as it loaded to my character list my computer crashed. My screen went grey and I got a very nasty mid pitched hum. To my knowledge my BIOS and all other drivers are up to date. With this being my first build i'm not sure what could have gone wrong. After spending 5+ hours reading and trial and error i finally decided to break down and ask the community.

Alright rebooted in safe mode and used DDU rebooted the computer again and installed the drivers tried to open a game and it crashed within 15 seconds. I can't even boot my computer now because my gpu is so hot, I have green lines appearing on my screen. Then I get an error called atikmpag. It crashes and I get BSOD Then my computer tries to reboot. @deXxterlab97

Sounds like something you should contact XFX over. You do have your GPU power connector connected to the PSU?

XFX will likely just send you a replacement.

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here
