Need help choosing graphics card

I'm planning to get a new PC, and I want your help to choose the right graphics card.

So I have 4 choices: 

   - MSI Nvidia GeForce® GTX 1060 3GT OC 3GB GDDR5  /  MSI Nvidia GeForce® GTX 1050 Ti 4G OC 4GB GDDR5

   - XFX AMD Radeon RX 480 RS 4GB GDDR5  /  RX 470

 

The problem is that I have a monitor with a resolution of 1280x1024 ( not planning to upgrade ), and I want to get the right one without getting something that's pricier and it will turn at the same amout of FPS as the cheaper one.

You can get a RX 480 for a really good price nowadays.

If you're a fan of EVGA, I recommend the EVGA 1050 Ti 4GB SCC! Also the Radeon R470 is a good choice too. The choices you listed are good aswell!

Getting a RX 480 or 1060 isn't an overkill for my resolution? Also I've heard that the RX 470 is too noisy.

That depends on which brand youre buying from. Most addin board partners have their own cooler solutions an designs, just look up reviews of which one is more quiet

As I said, check online reviews to find one that isnt noisy. I don't personally have any experience with the XFX and Sapphire cards

Well that's what I'm saying the XFX and the Sapphire RX 470 are noisy in games.

Out of what you listed, the 1060 is the most powerful but the rx 480 gives really good performance for the price.

@Bigbootyjudy The 1060 and the RX 480 cost the same, but from what I've seen the RX 480 is more " future proof " that the 1060 with it's 3GB of VRAM.

sorry for not responding right away but personally, I would wait for vega which is not that far away it seems. Prices may go down even more or there may be more sales. Back to your question, if they cost the same then I would get a 1060 because its a little faster but if prices change and the 1060 becomes more expensive by a lot, get the 480.

Yeah it's fine thanks for your suggestion, but I've decided to get an RX470 which costs 50$ less and also comparing the performance between the 3 GPUs you only find about 10% difference.
