budget isn't an issue per say but i want of corse the best "bang for the buck" as for current parts i have an fx 8320 as my current cpu, 16gb ram, a gtx 1070 and a 500w power supply

i need a new cpu for my system i was wondering if i should go with a 6600k or a 6700, i do quite a bit of gaming but also some content creation and i mess around with unity and blender from time to time so what should i do?

Definitely go 6700. If you can, the 7700 would be even better; otherwise, the Skylake i7 will still be a great chip.

If you're gonna buy a new board and ram you may aswell go Z270 + 7700K. Also depending on what programs you use and how much creation vs gaming you do, a Ryzen 1700 could be perfect. Gaming is better than most give it credit for (most comparisons are made against a 7700k @ 5ghz etc) and will slay a 7700k in multithread work loads
