Pcie x8 ssd vs sata 3.0 ssd

Which one is faster? Pcie x8 ssd or sata 3.0 ssd. I currently have Asrock H87M Pro4 and all other parts ready to rock, but no hard drives. And the Pcie x16 (3.0) is currently occupied by GPU. So please guys answer as soon as possible...

The PCI-e x8. PCI-e is incredibly fast, so it will be faster (depending on the drive too)

 

The GPU will just run in x8 mode when you put another device in the PCI-e slot, it's designed that way. No performance is lost as no GPU needs full x16 speeds.

MOBO: ASUS Z370-F STRIX  

RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 2133MHz
