Future Cop Job

Hello everyone i am really interested in becoming a cop and i was hoping to get some help from from anyone with any knowledge and experience i really want to become a cop but im not sure how to get started so to set some my limits i will tell you what i want to do 

1st i want to start off as a beat cop working in county (NEVER CITY I DON'T WANT TO GO TO CITY NO MATTER WHAT) but i will go for a higher position if i can

2nd i want to be able to be able to become a detective or SWAT after i work a couple years as a beat cop

I was told that i should go military to get a higher ranking position when i join the police at 21 but i DO NOT WANT TO GET SHIPPED OVER SEAS i was told i could do something called military police but i'm not to sure if they can be shipped over seas either so what would you guys recommend i do?

 

PS also one more thing i really like tattoos am i allowed to get sleeves or forearm tattoos or maybe even hand tattoos as a cop please let me know thank you
